The Pendleton and Elisabeth Carey Miller Charitable Foundation was established to continue the philanthropic activities that Mr. and Mrs. Miller supported so generously during their lifetimes.

Grants may be made to eligible nonprofit organizations that received gifts from Pendleton or Elisabeth Carey Miller. Grants may be made for general purposes or for specific projects. All grant awards will be based on the merits of proposals submitted to the Foundation. Proposals will be considered twice a year by the trustees, at their spring and fall meetings.

In addition to grants to these organizations, the trustees also will consider requests from nonprofit organizations to support the study, research, and acquisition of books and papers relating to the history of the Northwest. Organizations may submit grant proposals for these purposes, whether or not they received gifts from Mr. or Mrs. Miller.
